Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how I handle information when you use this website and its tools, including the Scrap Email product. This site is developed, operated, and maintained solely by Rohan Yeole in India.
1. Information Collection
I do not collect, store, or share any personal data that you enter into the tools on this website.
All inputs (e.g., text entered into formatters, hash generators, compilers, validators, or email scraping tools) are processed instantly and are not stored or logged in any database or backend. The output is generated in real time, and your input is discarded immediately after use.
2. Scrap Email Extension Data & Permissions
The Scrap Email Chrome Extension scrapes publicly accessible email addresses from web pages based on user action. It does not collect sensitive personal information or track user behavior across sites.
- User Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for the lawful and ethical use of scraped email addresses, including compliance with all applicable laws (such as India's Information Technology Act, 2000, India’s anti-spam laws, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM).
- No Control Over Source Websites: The Scrap Email extension extracts information from external sources over which I have no control. The presence of an email in the scraped results does not grant permission to contact the owner of the email address.
- Temporary Data: Scraped emails are processed and stored locally in your browser for the session. No data is sent to external servers unless explicitly configured by the user for storage export.
Chrome Permissions Justification
- activeTab: Required to access and process the content of the currently active tab when the user manually activates the extension. The extension does not run automatically in the background.
- Host Permissions ("<all_urls>"): Required to scrape emails from any user-visited webpage. The extension only operates on the tab that the user is actively viewing and controlling.
- Scripting: Needed to inject scripts that identify and extract email addresses from the visible content of the web page. No modification or interference with page behavior occurs.
- Storage:
- The extension uses local browser storage to temporarily store:
- Authentication tokens (if used to integrate optional external services like exporting to Google Sheets or user account syncing)
- Stored tokens are only used to facilitate the extension's functionality and are never transmitted to any third-party service without user consent.
- All storage remains local to the user's device and is not transmitted to remote servers unless the user actively connects an external service.
- The extension uses local browser storage to temporarily store:
- Remote Code: This extension does not use any remote code. All scripts and code are bundled within the extension package reviewed during submission.
Single Purpose Description
The single purpose of this extension is to allow users to scrape publicly visible email addresses from the current web page for personal reference or outreach, following applicable legal and ethical guidelines.
3. Chatbot Interactions (Landbot)
This site uses a chatbot powered by Landbot to guide your experience. Conversations are scripted for user assistance and do not track or store sensitive personal information.
If you voluntarily share your name, email, or message through the chatbot (e.g., to express interest in freelance work), that information is sent directly to my inbox and is not stored in any public or third-party database.
4. Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns and improve the website’s performance. This tool collects non-personally identifiable information, such as:
- Pages visited
- Browser type and device
- Approximate geographic location
- Referral sources (if any)
This data helps me understand how the site is being used so I can make it better. No personal information is collected or shared through analytics.
You can opt out by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
