Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how I handle information when you use this website and its tools, including the Scrap Email product. This site is developed, operated, and maintained solely by Rohan Yeole in India.
1. Information Collection
I do not collect, store, or share any personal data that you enter into the tools on this website.
All inputs (e.g., text entered into formatters, hash generators, compilers, validators, or email scraping tools) are processed instantly and are not stored or logged in any database or backend. The output is generated in real time, and your input is discarded immediately after use.
2. Email Scraper Extension Data & Permissions
The Email Scraper Chrome Extension automatically scans the visible text of the web page you are currently viewing to identify publicly visible email addresses, in real time as you browse. It does not collect sensitive personal information, read private messages, or track your activity across sites beyond the page currently open.
- User Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for the lawful and ethical use of scraped email addresses, including compliance with all applicable laws (such as India's Information Technology Act, 2000, India's anti-spam laws, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM).
- No Control Over Source Websites: The Email Scraper extension extracts information from external sources over which I have no control. The presence of an email in the scraped results does not grant permission to contact the owner of the email address.
- Local, Persistent Storage: Scraped emails, along with the source page URL and timestamp, are stored locally in your browser and persist across sessions until you clear them or uninstall the extension. No data is ever sent to any external server. You can export your saved list at any time as a CSV or TXT file, or delete it entirely using the "Clear All Saved Emails" control.
Chrome Permissions Justification
- storage: Used to save extracted email addresses, their source URL, and timestamp locally on your device, so they persist between browsing sessions until you export or clear them.
- downloads: Used to let you export your saved email list as a CSV or TXT file directly to your Downloads folder. No files are downloaded from any remote source.
- sidePanel: Used to display the extension's interface in Chrome's side panel, showing extracted emails updating live as you browse, rather than a popup that closes when clicked away.
- tabs: Used to identify the active tab's ID and URL so the side panel can show how many emails were found on the page you're viewing, and keep this count accurate as you switch tabs or navigate. No tab content is read through this permission.
- Host Permissions ("<all_urls>"): Required because the extension's single purpose — scanning any webpage's visible text for email addresses — must work on any site you choose to browse, not a fixed list. Scanning happens automatically as pages load, using a script bundled with the extension; nothing is transmitted off-device.
- Remote Code: This extension does not use any remote code. All scripts are bundled within the extension package reviewed during submission.
Single Purpose Description
The single purpose of this extension is to scan the visible text of the web page a user is browsing and extract publicly visible email addresses, displaying them in real time in the side panel and allowing users to export or delete them locally, for personal reference or outreach in accordance with applicable legal and ethical guidelines.
3. Chatbot Interactions (Landbot)
This site uses a chatbot powered by Landbot to guide your experience. Conversations are scripted for user assistance and do not track or store sensitive personal information.
If you voluntarily share your name, email, or message through the chatbot (e.g., to express interest in freelance work), that information is sent directly to my inbox and is not stored in any public or third-party database.
